MPL National Rapid Chess Championship 2022
MPL National Rapid Chess Championship 2022 was organized by Nashik District Chess Association on behalf of Maharashtra chess association under the aegis of All India chess federation.
The prestigious event was inaugurated on 27th April 2022 in presence of esteemed Guests GM Vidit Gujarathi; Mr Satish Goyal Income Tax Commissioner of Nashik; Mr. Niranjan Godbole, Hon. Gen. Secretary of Maharashtra Chess Association; Mr. Vinay Bele, Vice President of Maharashtra Chess Association; Mrs. Mahua Banerjee. Director MEETRA; Mr. Sunil Sharma, Secretary of Nashik District Chess Association; Mr. M Manjunath, Chief Arbiter.
The three days championship attracted 184 players from various part of the country. Out of which 14 Grand masters, 20 International masters took part in this event. G M Aravindh Chithambaram V R of PSPB was the top seed of the event with ELO rating 2572, after 6th round he took the lead and there after he played comfortably and clinched the title of MPL Rapid National Chess Champion -2022
Nashik District Association organised chess tournament beautifully they provided nice venue, AC hall, Nashik is known for its inherent cultural value and historical significance, organizer’s hospitality proved the culture. Thanks to The Nashik District chess association and Maharashtra Chess Association organizing this mega and prestigious event without any difficulty in a grand manner.
The prize fund Rs 4,00,000/- distributed among the prize winners by Mr. Vinay Bele, Vice President of MCA and President of Nashik District Chess Association, Mr.Sunil Sharma, Secretary of Nashik District Chess Association, Mr. Jayesh Bhandari Treasurer of Nashik District Chess Association.
Arbiter team comprising of Deputy Chief Arbiters IA Bharat S Choughale, and IA Yashpal Arora, Live In charge AnandBabu VL, IA Gourav Kumar Ray, FA Ajinkya Pingale, FA Mangesh Gambhire, SNA Shiva Iyer, SNA Tamizharasan, Murugan Worked efficiently for smooth conduct of tournament without any appeal.
