Thoothukudi District Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Federation and AICF’s Fair Play Committee organised a Fair Play Orientation Workshop at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi on 02-03 December 2023.

The workshop organised with view to train chess officials regarding basic concepts of Fair Play matters as well as best practices needs to be adopted in tournament to avoid any possible Fair Play violations.

Chairman of AICF’s Fair Play Committee and Councilor of International Chess Federation Fair Play Commission, International Arbiter M S Gopakumar was the Lecturer for this two days workshop and eighteen participants Tamil Nadu and Karnataka attended the same.

The workshop followed by an examination and the result will be published in a week time. The qualified participants will be deputed as Fair Play Arbiters for the National championships and other FIDE rated events.
