Chess in School Project at Arunachal Pradesh

In a great initiative to promote the game of chess at Arunachal Pradesh, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh decided provide all the logistical support for the AICF’s Chess in School project at 52 schools as pilot project with 2 schools in each 26 districts after a fruitful meeting by Secretary of All India Chess Federation Shri Bharat Singh Chauhan with Shri Er Taba Tedir Minister for education government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Ms. Niharika Rai IAS Commissioner Education of Arunachal Pradesh, Ms. Soumya Sourabh IAS, Special Secretary (Elementary Education) of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Nipaung Konia, Vice President AICF & President of Arunchal Chess Association and Shri Nabam Chada Secretary Arunchal Chess Association were also present in the meeting. This initiative will provide the much needed boost to chess activities at the state on grass root level.
