Final Report – Cheerful Performance by Indians Chess Stars in Asian Juniors & Girls Chess Championship 2024

After finishing the Final round in all the Formats of Chess. yesterday we  witnessed a very Cheerful and delightful performance by Indians here in Philippines, Tagaytay City. Some players Kissing the Gold-Silver and Bronze Medals, thus brings joy and cheers in Indian camps. They played solid and remarkable games and boost the Medal tally with their sincere efforts. Players Like G. Tejaswini, Sneha Halder, Bristy Mukherjee, Dhanashree, S. Aswath, Arjun Adireddy, Shubhi Gupta – holds the Stars of Asian Juniors Chess Championship. Others Indians who were nearing the Stars-line Learns their hard lessons, but it was altogether a very lovely performance by Indians on Philippines Soil.

In Girls Section:

On the top table,Anna (7) Vs. WFM Devindya Oshini Gunawardhana- White won comfortably in the game.

On 2nd Table, WIM G. Tejaswini (6.5) Vs. WFM Kristina Popandopulo (5)- White tried to become    sharp in the Opening towards the kingside. But Black managed well and the game ended in a draw after 53rd moves.

In Open Section:

On top Table, one of the most awaited battles between S. Aswath (6) Vs. GM Aleksey Grebnev (7) finished in a draw. Black as a leader remains only draw which he achieved in a tensed battle of 67th Move. It seems White has a small edge in the opening but Black managed well till the end to hold the balance. White has an extra pawn in a minor piece endgame which was drawish tendencies only.

On 3rd Table, IM Artem Uskov (5.5) Vs. IM S, Rohith Krishna (5.5)- White did not gain much from the Opening. When the position neutralises after the exchange of queenside pawns and there remains Bishop-pair for White. Black holds the balance and the position ended in a draw.
