Harshika upsets top seed Classen, Meara in Round 2 :Fide World Cup Under 08-12

On the Day 2 of the FIDE World Cup, we have one more major upset in the      girls section U8- Group B, 8th seeded Harshika.M got a quick victory over the top seed Classen, Meara from Germany with white pieces. Black’s 10th move 10…O-O which looked like a natural development cost black a piece, following which Harshika finishes her game in style!

The following ten players had scored their second victory in round 2 , and they have 2 points each:

U8 Open Group A: Divith Reddy Adulla, Sattwik Swain

U8 Girls Group B  : Harshika.M

U10 Open Group A : Vyom Malhotra

U10 Girls Group A: Samhita Pungavanam, Kiyana Parihar

U10 Girls Group B : Divi Bijiesh

U12 Open Group A : Siddhanth Poonja

U12 Girls Group B : Pratitee Bordoloi, Pavithra RV
