India wins 107 Medals in Commonwealth Classical, Rapid and Blitz Championship 2024.

The Commonwealth Chess Championship 2024, held at Citrus Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka, concluded on September 5, 2024, with a memorable display of talent across multiple sections, including Open and Girls categories for age groups U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18, and an Open Section for Women, U-20 players, and Above 60 Senior category. The event featured competitions in classical, rapid, and blitz formats.

Team India’s performance was truly remarkable, dominating the tournament with an extraordinary total of 107 medals. The Indian team secured 40 gold, 41 silver, and 26 bronze medals across all formats, underscoring their strength and versatility in chess.
