The prestigious Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have flagged off with a colorful Opening Ceremony.
Over the 12-days of competition at Ashgabat 2017, 4500 athletes from 65 delegations will compete in 347 medal events across 21 sports.
Ten medal events in Men’s and Women’s Chess will be contested over seven days at the Chess Arena from 21–27 September. The five events in each category are Standard Individual, Rapid Team, Rapid U-23 Team, Blitz Team and Blitz U-23 Team.
After a successful preparation camp, Team India is all set to deliver a medal-winning performance. The Men’s and Women’s Standard Individual championships will begin tomorrow.
