Indian Team finishes 5th in World Youth (Under 16) Chess Olympiad.

It was not a good day for Indian team as India lost to Gold Medallist Turkey-Red in the final round of World Youth Olympiad and lost the chance of Bronze Medal for the team.

Pranav V continued his winning run by beating Kilic Eray and won the Individual Gold Medal on the first board. He also won the Magnus Academy Online Invitational tournament concluded yesterday night.

India’s second board Pranesh could not find his usual self and mixed his opening preparation and lost the game.

Harshad having clear winning advantage in the French Defence missed a tactic in time pressure and lost.

Tanisha despite losing the game in the last round won the Individual Bronze Medal on 6th  Board scoring 4.5 out of 6 games.

Uzbekistan is in good form since the open Olympiad in chennai won Silver Medal and to the delight of host country Azerbaijan won the Bronze Medal in team event.
