Lake city event Postponed

4th Holi  Cup  Lake City Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament / Mar 26 to 30,2020 & Summer Cup Below 1600 From May 9-11, 2020

Dear Sir,

Postponed but not Cancelled!

         With an heavy heart ( not broken !)  , we  the organizers of the 4th Holi  Cup  Lake City Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament / Mar 26 to 30,2020 & Summer Cup Below 1600 From May 9-11, 2020 with a total prize tag of Rs 11.01 lakhs & Rs 11.00 lakhs  have finally decided to postpone  this traditional great  event to a later date All may aware  that our Indian as well National/State Governments  are taking extreme precautionary measures to guard our Indian public health with utmost care due to prevailing Corona Virus (COVID-19) . Both the Health and Sports Ministry have given all necessary instructions to the event managers in these testing periods to postpone to programme to safe guard Indian citizens health by all means. Please find two attachments regarding Govt instructions.

Though the organizers put to great financial hardship  particularly with to the renting the hall, hotel accommodations   etc, we are always players’ friendly.

After the normalcy prevails, we are having this tournament without any hesitation. In due course, who ever seeks refund of entry fees we sure return the fees after a minimal deduction of some amount. Wish all those remitted the entry fees so far would sure take part in the postponed tournament we will keep there entry and nothing deduction.
