Considering the unprecedented situation of pandemic, cancellation of National Championships as well as international events like Olympiad, Asian Games, World Team Chess Championships and mandatory national championships, All India Chess Federation felt that conduct of Senior National, Women National, National Junior and National Sub-Juniors are found to be the top most priority to give ample opportunity to players as due weightage as per Selection Norms need to be given to the National Champion.
Due to the pandemic situation, having a championship with longer duration is not at all advisable and after due deliberation, it is decided to conduct the following events before 31 March 2022 with due modification to reduce the number of days/rounds. Such an arrangement will not be cited as precedent by any stakeholders for future National events.
