North-Eastern State Online Chess Championship begins

As part of the development plan for the North-Eastern States, the North-Eastern State Online Chess Championship got off to rousing start today at Tornelo Online Platform.

Shri. Bharat Singh Chauhan, Secretary of All India Chess Federation inaugurated this event in presence of K M Warjri, Chairman AICF North-Eastern & Andaman Development Committee and Secretaries and Presidents of North-Eastern states.

This three day event with a prize fund of Rs. 1 lakh attracted a total number of 195 players and the first International Master of North Eastern State Shahil Dey got the top billing.
