Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the medal winners and thanked them for making the country proud in a felicitation function held in New Delhi yesterday.
K.Jennitha Anto won four medals and R.P.Kanishsri won two medals in Para Asian Games 2018 held from 6 to 13 October 2018 at Jakarta, Indonesia. Whereas, Kishan Gangolli, five-time national blind champion, has bagged a gold medal in partial blind category.
The Prime Minister also met Prachurya Kumar Pradhan and Soundarya Kumar Pradhan of Odisha who won Silver Medal.
“Kishan Gangolli has delighted the nation by winning the Gold Medal in Men’s Individual Rapid Chess at Asian Para Games 2018. Kishan was also part of the Silver-winning team. We are extremely proud of you, Kishan. Wishing you a bright future.” tweeted PM Modi.
