UPCSA: Event Postponements

Dear All,

As you all are aware of outbreak of Novel COVD19 in our country and it has been declared as pandemic
by World Health Organisation.

The All India Chess Federation, as per the advisories by the Government of India, has postponed all
national championships to be held till May 31 and has asked all State Associations are to avoid any state
level events till April 15.

Hence we are postponing the following tournaments and the new dates will be published on
www.upcsa.blogspot.com and on AICF website, as the case may be.

  1. UP State Smart Girls FIDE Rated Chess Championship 2020 AICF Event code : – 247616 / AICF / SG / UP / 2020
  2. Chess for everyone Smt.A D Pathak Memorial Trophy 2020 FIDE Rated Open Chess Championship AICF Event code 239470/AICF/UP/2020
  3. U.P. SCQ Inter School Chess tournament 28th and 29th March
  4. VPS Cup 15th UP State Under – 19 FIDE Rated Open Chess Championship 2020 – 248444 / UP(S) / 2020 Event code : 248444 / UP(S) / 2020
  5. All District Chess Championship to be held till 15th April

We wish and believe that all those who have remitted the fee will participate in the tournament on new
dates. For those who might not participate on the new dates, we request them to email the bank details
and a copy of payment proof to the organizer so that the organiser may refund their fee in due course.
