The 2nd edition of Delhi Open FIDE Rated Tournament kicked off in Hotel Caspia, Delhi. This year’s tournament has a whopping prize fund of Rs. 17,77,000/- which attracted a total number of 481 players from across the country, including 2 Grandmasters, 8 International Masters and 419 International rated players.
Top-seeds had a smooth sailing in the first three rounds. Until IM Himal Gussain (CHAN) was held to draw on board one by experienced veteran player O.T Anilkumar of Kerala. Also, on board 3, GM Venkatesh M.R (TN) couldn’t squeeze a win against Rahul Verma (MAH) in the fourth round.




Going to the sixth round, six players are jointly leading the tournament with 05/5 points.
