The ‘First Friday’ tournament was held in Institute of Chess Excellence, Malaysia. We had five Indians participating in this event. After six days of gruelling chess, Tamil Nadu’s D. Gukesh dominated the tournament from beginning to end. The 11-year-old had also scored his maiden IM norm in the process.
