59TH MPL SENIOR NATIONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2022:INAGURATION REPORT

The 59TH MPL Senior National Chess Championship 2022 is being held at K.D Jadhav Indoor Sports Hall, IG Stadium, New Delhi organized by Delhi Chess Association Under the aegis of All India Chess Federation  attracted 200 players from 30 States and 5 Affiliated Units of the country. There are  18 Grandmasters 27 International Masters, 12 Fide Masters and  8 Candidate Masters are participating in this event. The top seed of the event is GM Sethuraman SP with a FIDE Rating of 2642.

The following guests were present at the Inauguration Ceremony

The Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony was Shri. Bharat Singh Chauhan (Chairman FIDE Advisory Committee and Deputy President of Asian Chess Federation). He was accompanied on the dais by Shri. Dr. Vipnesh Bhardwaj (Hon. Secretary All India Chess Federation), Shri. Naresh Sharma (Treasure All India Chess Federation) and  Shri. Ajeet Kumar Verma (Hon. Secretary Delhi Chess Association)

Shri. A.K Verma presented  Bouquets to all the Honorable  Guests, this was followed by the Lighting of the lamps by the guests.

Shri. Bharat Singh Chauhan Inaugurated the event by making the First Move on the First Board of GM Sethuraman SP with White Pieces.
