The 6th edition of Altibox Norway Chess kicked off with traditional Blitz Opener yesterday. GM Wesley So (U.S.A) emerged as winner with impressive 6.0/9 points. Whereas, GM Hikaru Nakamura (U.S.A) and GM Viswanathan Anand tied for second place at 5.5/9 points respectively.
The Classical event will begin today at 8.00pm IST. The 10-player round-robin featuring World Champion Magnus Carlsen, former World Champion Viswanathan Anand and most of the world’s best players is being held at Stavanger, Norway
