Shri K Viswanathan, father of Viswanathan Anand, passes away

Five-time world chess champion and flag bearer of Indian chess for more than three decades Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand’s father, K Viswanathan, took his last breath at Chennai today following brief illness at the age of 92.
