Maharashtra youngster Kshatriya Nitin Vekhande becomes champion in the Under-12 Open Category of the National Age Group Chess Championship which concluded on Thursady.
Kshatriya tied for the pole position with Mrinmoy Rajkhowa of Assam with 9.5 points but better Buchholz tie break score helped Kshatriya to finish first while Mrinmoy becomes first runner up. Yash Bhardia of Rajasthan finished at third with 9 points.
