In the Open category, Indian players had a mixed day with GM Pranav winning against Falkevall, Axel,2401 and IM Illamparthi A.R putting it across against Belkaid Sohan,(2370).The major setback for the Indian contingent was the loss of GM against Akhilbay Imangali,(2342).In another major upset was the loss of the top seed GM Daniel Dardha against Gong,Sunle.

The Girls’ category
WGM Savitha,Shri and Velpula Saraya maintained their winning streak by scoring their second victory.However WGM Rakshita Ravi was held to a draw by WFM Yakimova Mariyam (2201).Sneha Halder and Mrittika Mallick did well to draw against their higher rated opponents.
