AICF to offer air ticket for one player per state association

National Under 25 at Port Blair, Andaman –  AICF to offer air ticket for one player per state association

In a historic decision the All India Chess Federation has allocated the conduct of National Under 25 Championship to Andaman & Nicobar Chess Association. The same will be organised at Port Blair from 12th to 21st July 2017. The organisers have graciously agreed to host the players for two more days for sightseeing. As an one time measure, AICF has decided to extend air ticket from Chennai to Andaman & back to one player (presumably the State 25 Champion) from each affiliated State Association who is selected by the State Association on merit to participate in the above Nationals. 15 June, 2017  will be the last date for availing the above facility.  Apart from the above players,  lodging & Boarding  (in lieu of Rs.1000 lumpsum given by the Federation) will be provided by the organisers for the selected & seeded players as per rules.  All other players/ State Associations shall make their own travel arrangements.

We therefore request all State Associations & players to make use of this opportunity  and to visit Port Blair so that an effort can be made to popularise the game in the island.
