The FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar conducted by the All India Chess Federation under the auspices of FIDE had a rousing start with full house participation. It’s being held from 26 to 28 January at Hotel Royal Regency in Chennai.
FIDE Vice President D.V Sundar and AICF Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan graced the event and spoke about the importance of arbiter seminars and the ongoing chess development in various parts of the country. Here are few moments captured during the inauguration of the seminar.
The Seminar
The Lecturers— IA Prof. Anantharam Rathinam, Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer IA Dharmendra Kumar shared their immense experience and practical knowledge with the participants.

The language of the Seminar is English. Both the lecturers are covering various topics under Laws of Chess, Rating Regulations, Title Regulations, Pairing Regulations, Arbiter Regulations, Anti Cheating Guidelines, Competition Rules, Tie Break Regulations, Standard Chess Equipment etc.
The Seminar will give norms for the FIDE Arbiter title, according to the regulations for the titles of Arbiters.
