Final Report of 13th National Schools Chess Championship,2025

                In all there were 1216 children representing 28 states and union territories took part in the 13th national schools chess championship covering 12 categories namely under 7, 9, 11,13,15,17 open and girls.  It is quite curious to note that  563 no.of children (almost 50 per cent )were FIDE rated in this 5 days event organized by Andhra Chess Association from January 17 to 21, 2025.Sri Prakash Synergy School in Peddapuram provided wonderful playing halls and waiting rooms, accommodation and canteen facility for all the players and the accompanying persons.

               Top 5 tables games in the under 13 open and under 15 open went on live.The organisers of the event provided the players with the score sheets with the name of the players, their points and FIDE ratings inscribed on them for every round. All the categories had nine rounds.

               This important national championship was flagged off by Shri. Nimmakalya China Rajappa, M.L.A., Peddapuram in the presence of other dignitaries. In a glittering closing ceremony Shri. Kumanan Ramasamy, Chairman Urban Development was the Chief Gusest. Other dignitaries who were present on this august function was Shri.A.K.Varma, Head of Operations, AICF, Shri.Vijay Praksh, Director, Sri Prakash Synergy School and Shri. K.V.V.Sarma, Chairman, AP Chess Association.

            Overall, the parents, accompanying persons and the players greatly appreciated the excellent arrangement made by Andhra Chess Association and the work rendered by team of Arbiters and the Volunteers.
