Final Report of SNA Seminar and Examination at Dimapur, Nagaland from 28 to 29 November 2024 .

On behalf of the All India Chess Federation (AICF) and the AICF Arbiters’ Commission, the Nagaland Chess Association, North East Indian Chess Association, and AICF jointly organized a Senior National Arbiters’ Seminar and Examination at the Tourist Lodge, Dimapur, Nagaland, on 28–29 November 2024.

The seminar was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri K. M. Warjri, Chairman of the Committee for Chess Development in North East and Andaman & Nicobar, AICF. Shri A. K. Verma, Head of Operations, AICF, and Shri Vekukho Soho, Honorary Secretary of the Nagaland Chess Association, also graced the event. The ceremony began with an invocation by Shri Zhabu Metha, Associate Pastor of Nagamese CRC Sovima.

The seminar was conducted by Shri Nitin Shenvi, an International Arbiter (IA) from Pune, who covered key topics such as the Laws of Chess, Tiebreaks, Tournament Regulations, Arbiter Regulations, Swiss Pairings, Rating Regulations, Title Regulations, Chess Equipment Standards, and Fair Play Regulations. A total of 27 participants attended the seminar and appeared for the examination.

The Valedictory Function was held on 29 November 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. Shri K. M. Warjri presided over the function as the Chief Guest, with Shri Mohokiya Apon, Vice President of the Nagaland Chess Association, as the Leader. The invocation was delivered by Shri Keyininglungbe Ilunglung (Aning), Associate Pastor of the Angami Baptist Church, Northern Angami Colony, Walford, Dimapur. Shri Mengise Haikam, Joint Secretary of the Nagaland Chess Association, proposed the Vote of Thanks, while the End Note was delivered by Shri Vekukho Soho, Honorary Secretary of the Nagaland Chess Association.

All 27 participants successfully attended the examination. The qualified participants were awarded the Senior National Arbiter (SNA) Title and the FIDE NA License.

All the participants awarded with SNA title are required to be registered with AICF as Arbiter as well as get their FIDE NA License prior to officiating in any FIDE rated event.  They must be licensed before officiating in any FIDE Rated event or attending FIDE Arbiter Seminar.  To get NA License please pay an amount of Rs. 3370/- at https://prs.aicf.in/pay and intimate the details (Name, FIDE ID and Screenshot of payment) by email to  aicf.acct@gmail.com cc to indianchessfed@gmail.com .
