Final Report :SNA Seminar and Exam held in Ranchi on 21 & 22 Feb 2026

On behalf of All India Chess Federation & Arbiter Commission AICF, All Jharkhand Chess Association is organizing Senior National Arbiter Seminar & exam at SARALA BIRLA UNIVERSITY in Mahilong, Ranchi, on the 21st and 22nd  of February, 2026.

The inaugural function chaired by Dr Gopal Pathak Director Sarla Birla University and other dignitaries on the dais were Chancellor Dr C Jagnathan, Trainer IA Nitin Shenvi (Rating Officer, AICF) and IA Deepak Kumar Narendra. Dr Gopal ji told gathering about the importance of such seminars in development of chess.

The participants represent different parts of India from Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka etc.

IA Nitin Shenvi explained the topics on Laws of Chess, Tiebreaks, Tournament Regulations, Arbiter Regulations, Round Robin Pairing, Swiss Pairings, Rating Regulations, Title regulations, chess equipment’s and Fair Play Regulations during the two days seminar, more emphasis given on laws of chess.

All the participants awarded the SNA title (Grade A & B) are required to be registered with AICF as an Arbiter and get their FIDE NA License prior to officiating in any FIDE-rated event.  They must be licensed before officiating in any FIDE-rated event or attending a FIDE Arbiter Seminar.  To get an NA License, please pay an amount of Rs. 3682/- at https://prs.aicf.in/pay(Avoid UPI & Scan) and intimate the details (Name, FIDE ID and Screenshot of payment) by email to  aicf.acct@gmail.com &  indianchessfed@gmail.com ,Ratings.aicf@gmail.com .
