Final Report :Asian Youth Chess Championships 2024

Sarbartho won the Gold in Blitz

That’s impressive! It seems like Indian chess players performed exceptionally well at the Asian Youth Blitz Chess Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

1.    Under-08 Open Category:

o   Sarbartho Mani won the gold medal with a score of 7.5/9 rounds.

2.    Under-10 Boys Category:

o   Aadvik Amit Agarwal secured the silver medal with a score of 8/9 rounds.

3.    Under-14 Open Category:

o   Adarsh Sriram Uppala won the silver medal with a score of 7.5/9 rounds.

o   Shreya G Hipparagi won the bronze medal with a score of 6.5/9 rounds.

Overall, India achieved a remarkable tally of 16 medals which included:

  • 5 Gold medals
  • 5 Silver medals
  • 6 Bronze medals

This outstanding performance placed India second in the overall medal tally, with Kazakhstan securing the top spot. It’s great to see such young talents excelling in international competitions!
