Team India consists of WGM Varshini V, WGM Srija Seshadri, WIM Arpita Mukherjee and WIM Michelle Catherina lifted Asian University Women’s Chess Championship winners trophy with 25.5 points while Iran and Malayasia finished as first and second runner up respectively.
In the individual event, Varshini V finished at pole position to get gold medal while Iranian duo of Safoura Ghane and Tannaz Azali finished at Second and third.
All India Chess Federation congratulate Varshini, Srija, Arpita and Michelle for the achievement.
