Jishitha and Sahithi on sole lead

05 Apr 17 (Tashkent) :- D Jishitha in Under-14 Girls and Sahithi Varshini in Under-10 Girls are in sole lead at the end of sixth round matches of the Asian Youth Chess Championship at Hotel Le Grande Plaza here on Wednesday.

Being the last double round day, the championship witnessed lot of ups and downs in the crucial day. Displaying sheer attacking skills, Jishitha outwitted higher seed Kazakhstan opponent Nazerke Nurgali in the sixth round to take her point tally to possible 6 points while Sahithi signed the peace treaty with team mate Savitha Shri to occupy the pole position in leaders table. Both Jishitha and Sahithi are now enjoying full point lead over nearest rivals. Earlier in the fifth round Jishitha defeated WFM Bach Ngoc Thuy Duong of Vietnam and Sahithi overcame Leyla Shohradova of Turkmenistan.

dscn0699-copyErigaisi Arjun in Under-14 Open, Divya Deshmukh in Under-12 Girls and Ilamparathi A R in Under-8 Open are in joint lead in their respective categories after the sixth round encounters. Three more rounds remaining for all categories in this nine round Swiss system championship.

Round-6 Results of Indian Players :-

Under-18 Open :- Kaustuv Kundu (4.5) beat Sai Vishesh C (3.5); Tran Minh Thang of VIE (3) lost to Prananvanda V (4).

Under-18 Girls :- WIM Aakanksha Hagawane (4.5) drew with WIM Abdusattorova Bakhora of UZB (5); WIM Ivana Maria Furtado (4.5) beat Makhim Orazmukhammedova of UZB (3.5); Ananay Suresh (4) beat Nilufur Yakubbaeva of UZB (3); Chandreyee Hajra (4) beat Hilola Abdukarimova of UZB (3).

Under-16 Girls :- WFM Assel Serikbay of KAZ (5.5) beat Toshali V (4); WFM Anwesha Mishra (4) drew with Yang Yijing of CHN (4).

Under-14 Open :- FM Batsuren Dambasuren of MGL (4) lost to Erigaisi Arjun (5)

Under-14 Girls :- WFM Nazerke Nurgali of KAZ (4.5) lost to Jishitha D (6); Jyothsna L (4) drew with Khegay Yuliya (4); Bommini Mounika Akshaya (4.5) beat Alomova Sevinch (3.5)

Under-12 Open :- Rohith Krishna S (4.5) beat Manish Anto Cristiano (3.5); Kuliyev Emin of TKM (3) lost to Pranesh M (4).

Under-12 Girls :- Kamalidenova Meruert of KAZ (5) beat Rakshitta Ravi (4.5); WFM Divya Deshmukh (5) beat Bhagyashree Patil (4); Umida Omonova of UZB (4) drew with Chinnam Vyshnavi (4); Dhyana Patel (4) beat Kriti Mayur Patel (3); Nazarova Amina of UZB (2.5) lost to Vishwa Vasnawala (3.5).

Under-10 Open :- Geldymuradov Mekan of TKM (4.5) lost to Tanmay Jain (5) ; Ibrokhimov Mukhammadali of UZB (2.5) lost to Dev Shah (3.5).

Under-10 Girls :- Savitha Shri B (4.5) drew with Sahithi Varshini M (5.5); Riddhi R Patel (3) beat Dilumurodova Nozimakhon of UZB (2).

Under-8 Open :- Ilamparthi A R (5) beat Lu Miaoyi of CHN (4); Priyansh Das (4) lost to Alikhon Avazkhonov of UZB (5); Sriansh Das (3.5) drewwith Alisher Zhenishbekov of KGZ (3.5).

Under-8 Girls :- Sexdbekova Aizhan (3.5) lost to Shefali A N (4.5); Nguyen Minh Tra of VIE (2.5) lost to Saineha R M (3.5); Ruzimatova Afruza of UZB (3.5) beat Suhaani Lohia (2.5).
