Report of round-2 &3

Velpula  Sarayu of Telengana held the current Asian Junior Girls Champion WIM Savitha Shri in the 2nd round of MPL 47th National Women Chess Championship here at International Chess Hall, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on  Friday,25th  Feburary 2022.

Five Share the lead at the end of the third round

IM Vaishali R (TN), IM Sowmya Swaminathan (PSPB  WIM  Chitlange sakshi (MAH), WIM Priyanka Nuttaki (AP) and 39th seed Velpula sarayu of Telengana share the lead with perfect score at the end of the third round. Third round also was in Velpula Sarayu’s favor to beat WIM Parnali S Dharia of Maharashtra.  Orissa Player Smaraki Mohanty stunned the WGM Kiran Monisha Mohanty of LIC in 24 moves. 15 Players are following the leaders with 2.5 points each.
