National Amateur; 20 players sharing lead

New Delhi (06 Nov 17) :- Twenty players, including top seed Puneet Jaiswal of Delhi are leading with perfect score at the end of third round matches of the ongoing National Amateur Chess Championship at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

In the important encounters of the third round, local hope Puneet Jaiswal defeated Sri Sai Baswanth of Telangana while second seed Kushagra Mohan of Telangana got better of Dony KV of Services.

A total number of 267 players which include 215 rated players from 22 affiliated units are taking part in this 11 round Swiss system tournament.

Important Results (Round-3) :- Sri Sai Baswanth of TEL (2) lost to Puneet Jaiswal of DEL (3); Dony KV of SSCB (2) lost to Kushagra Mohan of TEL (3); Raghvendra Kumar Mishra of SSCB (2) lost to Santu Mondal of DEL (3); Hemal Thanki of GUJ (3) beat Vivek M of TN (2); Manish Kumar of ODI (3) beat Mohammed Dilshad of KER (2); Aaryan Varshney of DEL (2.5) drew with Abhishek Jaiswal of UP (2.5); Deodhar Vrushali Umesh of MAH (2) lost to Soham Kamotra of J&K (3); Shivam Verma of BIH (2) lost to Gajendra Singh of UP (3); Arun Rathi of HAR (3) beat Dasharathi Sahoo of ODI (2); Vimlesh Kumar Singh of DEL (3) beat Srikanth K of SSCB (2).
