Earlier Rule restored – National Challengers and Women Challenger 2017 – Important decision

Sub: Earlier Rule restored regarding eligibility for participation in the National Challenger and National Women Challenger Chess Championship.

The Central Council of the All India Chess Federation which met on 25.06.2017 decided with immediate effect to restore the earlier Rule regarding the eligibility Criteria for participation in the National Challenger and National Women Challenger Chess Championship.

The restriction on minimum rating as eligibility is now withdrawn and players who are desirous of participating as special /donor entry can now participate if recommended by their respective State Chess Associations.
