National Under-12 Open Online Chess Championships begins

National Under-12 Open Online Chess Championship, in which more than 700 players from across the nation are participating got off to a rousing start on Monday.

The reigning Women’s World Rapid Champion, the Woman Chess icon of the country Grandmaster Koneru Humpy inaugurated the event and shared her experience in age category tournaments. She encouraged the participants to enjoy the game to the fullest rather thinking about the results.

First day of the event had technical meeting and practice matches. The real action kick start on Tuesday on Tornelo online chess platform and conclude on Thursday.
