National Under-16 Open & Girls Online Chess Championships begins

The President of All India Chess Federation Dr Sanjay Kapoor inaugurated the National Under-16 Open & Girls Online Chess Championship on Saturday in presence of Secretary of AICF Shri Bharat Singh Chauhan.

More than 600 players are participating in the event and serves as selection event for the Indian team to participate in the FIDE Youth & Cadet Online World Cup 2021 scheduled in the month of August 2021.

First day of the event had technical meeting and practice matches and the real action kick start Sunday on Tornelo online chess platform. Meanwhile, the Under-18 category is currently in progress and heading for existing finish today.
