The Senior National Chess Championship 2021 will be organised by UP Chess Sports Association at Ganges Club, Kanpur from 13-20 April 2021.
This eleven round Swiss system championship with prize fund of Rs. 20 lakh will be an important event for those aspiring to participate in the forthcoming Asian Continental Championship which will be held as Hybrid event from 20-30 May 2021.
As the Asian championship being conducted in Hybrid format, Asian Chess Federation likely to restrict the number of entries from each federation and Senior National Championship will provide the right chance for the players to qualify for the World Cup qualifying event.
