Shri Dhiraj Raghuvanshi took his last breath

President of Uttaranchal Chess Association and former President of Delhi Chess Association Shri Dhiraj Raghuvanshi passed away today after battling against Covid-19 for the past two weeks.

Apart from chess front, he was a shrewed politician and served as General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress as well as Vice President of Uttarakhand State Kisan Congress in his political career.

With his untimely demise, Indian chess lost stalwart administrator who served more than 3 decades for the game. All India Chess Federation express our sincerest condolences at these most difficult times and pray for peace and comfort for bereaved family members.
