On behalf of All India Chess Federation , Punjab State State Chess Association is organizing Senior National Arbiter Seminar & exam at Amity University ,Sector 82 ,Airport Road ,S.A.S.Nagar(Mohali),Punjab.
Eligibility:
Eligibility: Every affiliated state association can recommend individuals with adequate knowledge of chess, a genuine interest in arbiter ship, and who have completed 17 years of age. The seminar will be limited to a maximum of 40-45 participants.
Registration & Fees:
- Interested candidates can approach their State Association to obtain the registration link.
- Once you receive the registration link from your State Association, kindly complete the form before 16 January 2026
- Those who approved by the state association can make the seminar and examination fee is ₹4,000/-, Please do not pay it earlier without getting AICF participation confirmation on mail .
- Please note: Only registration links received through your State Association (via email) will be considered valid.
- In case of any difficulty with the online payment gateway, participants may alternatively transfer the fee to the AICF bank account.
Selection Process:
- After completion of all registrations, the consolidated list will be forwarded to the respective State Associations for verification to confirm that the registration link was officially circulated by them.
- Selected candidates will be informed via email after the registration deadline.
- Payments of candidates not selected will be refunded at the earliest.
Travel & Accommodation:
Participants are required to make their own arrangements for travel and stay. Please book your travel only after receiving confirmation of selection (which includes both fee payment and State Association approval).
Course Material:
- The Arbiters’ Manual will be provided at the venue, and both the seminar and examination shall be conducted in English.
- Participants are also encouraged to download the FIDE Arbiters’ Manual 2025 and familiarize themselves with the following topics in advance:

- Tiebreak Regulations
- Rating Regulations
- Swiss Pairing Rules
- Arbiter Regulations
- Anti-Cheating Regulations
- Standards of Chess Equipment
- Competition Rules
- Basic Title Regulations
Refund Policy for Non-Selection and Unforeseen Circumstances
The responsibility of AICF is limited to refunding the fee paid in cases of non-selection, or in the event of postponement/cancellation of the seminar due to a force majeure situation.
