Viswanathan Anand in Mumbai

Mumbai, January 02 2017: Five-time World Champion Viswanathan Anand will be the chief guest at the 2nd IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Tournament that will finish on 3rd January 2017. Anand is the patron of the mega chess festival that is taking place at the Mount Litera School International at BKC in Mumbai.

Notably, Anand famous shot into national limelight when he defeated National Champion Manuel Aaron at the National Team Chess Championship 1983 in Mumbai. There has been no stopping Anand since he qualified for the bigger national events due to his performance in Mumbai. While Mumbai proved to be a launchpad for Anand, IIFL Wealth brought to the city the second edition of its International tournament and Junior Championship. Anand was the patron of the tournament.

Anand will be present at the Mount Litera School International in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai at 6 p.m. IST.
