Watch the FIDE World Championship Match 2013

To celebrate the occasion of the FIDE World Championship 2013 between World champion Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand and World No. 1 Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen in November, All India Chess Federation and Tamil Nadu State Chess Association are organizing many events in Chennai. To cater to the ever growing demand for quality arbiters, AICF has decided to conduct a FIDE Arbiter seminar, followed by an examination, leading to a FA norm, at Chennai. Apart from the three tournament norms, the norm from the seminar is mandatory to get FA title. The dates of the event will be from 10th to 13th November.

The seminar will also facilitate the chess personalities to fulfill their life time dream of witnessing the World Championship. Anybody who has a flair and interest for arbitration in chess may attend the course.

The fee for the seminar and examination is Rs.20000/- without accommodation and Rs.25000/- with accommodation. Mr. Ignatius Leong, General Secretary, FIDE and Prof R. Anantharam will be the lecturers. Course materials will be provided to all the participants, at the time of the seminar.  Demand draft favoring All India Chess Federation, payable at Chennai

 FIDE Tournament Rules (C05)

Use of Electronic Clocks

Applications, in the prescribed format, to attend the seminar must be routed through their respective state chess associations on or before 10th October 2013. Application form can be downloaded here.
