World Team Chess Championship – Uzbekistan beat India in Semi Final

Title hope of India in the World Team Championship shattered in the semi final as Olympiad Gold medalist team Uzbekistan won the second duel in the semi final 2.5 – 1.5 to book the berth in the final. Earlier the first duel ended in a deadlock of 2 – 2.

Only Grandmaster Narayanan S L showed consistency to register win against Shamsiddin Vokhidov on both occasions.

India will play with Spain for the Bronze Medal on Friday.
