Karjakin Joins Anand In Lead

An unexpected blunder from rating favourite Hikaru Nakamura of USA saw Sergey Karjakin of Russia in joint lead with Viswanathan Anand.
Karjakin and Anand lead the FIDE Candidates tournament with 1½/2. Twelve rounds remain to be played in this 8-player double all-play-all that is being played at Moscow.
Anand drew Aronian in 31 moves after reaching an opposite colour bishop ending with the black pieces.
Nakamura went for a knight sacrifice on move 29 and rapidly went down in the next few moves to Karjakin.
