By G.Kanickai Irudayaraj

The Indian team consists of three players participated in the 18th IPCA World Individual Chess Championship 2018 at Prague in Czech Republic from 21st to 30th June 2018.

This is the first time through the recommendation of AICF the SPORTS Authority of India sanctioned their full expenditure. We thank them.

The tournament attracted 57 Physically Disabled Chess Players of 13 Countries. Nearly 25 players use wheel chair. 14 titled players (6 IMs, 3 FMs, 2 WIMs, 2 WFMs, 1 CM,) added more challenge to the chess championship. On the whole the tournament is a tough one. Jennitha Anto scored 4.5 points (3 Wins, 3 draws and 3 lost) and she got Bronze Medal in Women Section. Mr. Shashikant Kutwal scored 5.5 points out of nine (4 Win, 3 draw and 2 lost). Master Samarth J Rao scored 4.5 out of nine (4 wins, 1draw and 4 lost).

Final Standings of women:
