Aditya Mittal in lead @ IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Junior Chess 2016

Aditya Mittal (5.5) led the table after the sixth round of the IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Junior Chess Tournament 2016 held at Mount Litera School International, Bandra (East), Mumbai here today.
Aditya was in his elements today, as he scored a spectacular victory over joint leader B Sriram. The Kings Indian game announced the intentions of both to fight for a win, but Aditya was one up on his opponent, as he dazzled with his middle game piece play, checkmating Sriram in 37 moves.
The game of the day award – ChessBase gift voucher – for the previous round went to Dushyant Sharma. This nine round Swiss tournament has a total prize money of Rs 750000 with the winner getting richer by Rs 150000, the highest in the world for a Junior event. With three more rounds to go, we are to see big battles for top prize.
