India’s ace Grandmaster Koneru Humpy achieved a historic milestone by securing her second World Rapid Chess Championship title, defeating Indonesia’s Irene Sukandar on Sunday.
Having previously won the championship in 2019 in Georgia, Humpy, the Indian No. 1, now joins an elite league as only the second player, after China’s Ju Wenjun, to win the title multiple times.
