India Shines at Fide World Cadet Chess Cup in Georgia with 7 Medals

India continued its dominance in the global chess arena by clinching 7 out of 18 possible medals at the World Cadet Chess Cup, held in Batumi, Georgia. The prestigious tournament concluded today with Indian players delivering a stellar performance in the Under-8, Under-10, and Under-12 categories for both boys and girls.

🏆 1st place: Omer Taha Dede (Turkiye)
🥈 2nd place: Mikhail Ev. Markov (FIDE)
🥉 3rd place: Adinur Adilbek (Kazakhstan)

👧 Girls 8
🏆 1st place: Alisha Bissaliyeva (Kazakhstan)
🥈 2nd place: Varvara Volkova (FIDE)
🥉 3rd place: Tharshan Kajishana (Sri Lanka)

🧒 Open 10
🏆 1st place: Sarbartho Mani (India)
🥈 2nd place: Mondal Oishik (India)
🥉 3rd place: Kapil Aarit (India)

👧 Girls 10
🏆 1st place: Divi Bijesh (India)
🥈 2nd place: Zhihan Chen (China)
🥉 3rd place: Sharvaanica A S (India)

🧒 Open 12
🏆 1st place: Abdalrahman Sameh Mohamed (Egypt)
🥈 2nd place: Chenxuan Ling (USA)
🥉 3rd place: Damir Bulgak (FIDE)

👧 Girls 12
🏆 1st place: Pratitee Bordoloi (India)
🥈 2nd place:  Aadya Gowda (India)
🥉 3rd place: Idea Tselmuun (Mongolia)

India achieved a clean sweep in the Under-10 Boys category, securing all three medals—an extraordinary accomplishment on the world stage.

A special mention to Shrinikhila Yadavilli (U-8 Girls), who narrowly missed out on a bronze medal after a close tiebreak game.

🇮🇳 This remarkable achievement once again raised the Indian tricolour high on the global chess stage. Heartfelt congratulations to all the medal winners, their dedicated coaches, and proud parents.

The Indian contingent was ably guided by WGM Swati Ghate and FIDE Instructor Puneet Jaiswal, with Mr. Ankit Dalal as the Head of Delegation ensuring smooth coordination and management throughout the event.

This success is a testament to the tremendous and continued support from the Government of India and the All India Chess Federation, whose efforts have been pivotal in nurturing and empowering young chess talent across the nation
