Aakanksha, Arjun, Jishitha and Sahithi Asian Champions

08 Apr 17 (Tashkent) :- India won four gold, five silver and three bronze and finished at the top of medal tally in the Asian Youth Chess Championship at Hotel Le Grande Plaza on Saturday.

Aakanksha Hagawane in Under-18 Girls, Jishitha D in Under-14 Girls and Sahithi Varshini in Under-10 Girls become golden girls for India while Erigaisi Arjun won the open gold in Under-14.

Sai Vishwesh in Under-18 Open, Jyothsna L in Under-14 Girls, Rakshitta Ravi in Under-12 Girls, Savitha Shri in Under-10 Girls and Ilamparathi A R in Under-8 Open won silver medals while Rohith Krishna in Under-12 Open, Divya Deshmukh in Under-12 Girls and Tanmay Jain in Under-10 Open added bronze to the Indian medal tally.

The blitz format of the championship will be held Sunday morning and Indian camp is hoping for another medal haul to take the overall championship trophy.
