AICF’s Fair Play Orientation Workshop, Pune

All India Chess Federation along with AICF’s Fair Play Committee organised a Fair Play Orientation Workshop at Deccan Gymkhana, Pune on 15-16 July 2023.

The workshop organised with view to train chess officials regarding basic concepts of Fair Play matters as well as best practices needs to be adopted in tournament to avoid any possible Fair Play violations.

Chairman of AICF’s Fair Play Committee and Councilor of International Chess Federation Fair Play Commission, International Arbiter M S Gopakumar was the Lecturer for this two days workshop and thirty three participants from Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Telangana attended the same.

The workshop followed by an examination and the result will be published in a week time. The qualified participants will be deputed as Fair Play Arbiters for the National championships and other FIDE rated events.
