Former world champion Viswanathan Anand has confirmed to play in the Candidates Tournament from March 11 to April 1, 2014 at Khanty-Mansiysk in Siberian Russia.
The line up of players and how they qualified are listed by FIDE in its website www.fide.com
Viswanathan Anand (Ind, former world champion)
Vladimir Kramnik (Rus, World Cup, winner)
Dmitry Andreikin (Rus, World Cup, finalist)
Veselin Topalov (Bul, Grand Prix 2012-2013, winner)
Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Aze, Grand Prix 2012-2013, runner-up)
Levon Aronian (Arm, rating list 2012-2013)
Sergey Karjakin (Rus, rating list 2012-2013)
Peter Svidler (Rus, host nominee)
The pairing will be announced on February 13, 2014. It will be a double play all. Half the players are from Russia. In case two or more players tie on points, March 31 is slated for tie-breaks and closing ceremony.
The winner of this Candidates Tournament will emerge as the challenger to Magnus Carlsen of Norway in 2014.
