A FIDE Arbiter seminar was organized by All India Chess Federation and FIDE Arbiters’ Commission at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA from 24 to 26 April 2026
.
19 participants from 4 Indian States participated in the three-day event. International Arbiter and Fide Lecturer, Vasanth BH, was the Chief Lecturer, and International Arbiter and IA Paul Arokia Raj S was the assistant lecturer.
IA Vasanth BH and IA Paul Arokia Raj lectured on topics like Laws of Chess, Rating regulations, Title regulations, Arbiter regulations, Competition rules, Tiebreaks, Swiss pairing regulations, Fair play regulations, etc. The participants were very enthusiastic and inquisitive, with a lot of input. Many of them cleared their doubts they had in their mind about many regulations, and the focus was mainly on the Laws of Chess. Several case studies and practical examples were also discussed during the seminar.
On the third day, the 19 participants attended the examination. 9 participants passed the examination. The results are published in the FIDE website.
