National Under-9 2017: Kadam Om Manish & Anupam M clinch titles

National Under-9 (Open & Girls) Chess Championship-2017 concluded on Friday 11th November. Kadam Om Manish of Maharashtra with 9.5 points & Anupam M Sreekumar of Kerala with 9 points won the Title in Open & Girls category respectively.

The tournament took place from 2nd to 10th of November 2017 at Shriram Global School, Haryana. A total number of 259 budding chess players participated in the Open Category and Girls Category saw 138 players contending for the top spots.

Mr. Pawan Jindal a renowned businessman & head of the Haryana Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh was the Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution ceremony. Mr. Raju Verma- President of The Haryana Chess Association, Mr. Naresh Sharma, General Secretary, Mr. Rajpal Chauhan- Joint Secretary, Mr. Anil Parnami- President, Distt. Chess Association Gurgaon, Mr. Desh Rattan Gulati, Mr. Rakesh Chawla, Mr. Satish Singla- Vice presidents, Mr. Krishan Kant Verma, Mr. Vijay Gupta- owner of Shriram Global School were also present. The tournmament was concluded with Vote of thanks by Mr. Naresh Sharma.
