Pranesh and Bhagyashree Under-16 Champions

Pranesh M of Tamilnadu and Bhagyashree Patil of Maharashtra becomes champions in the Open and Girls Categories respectively in the National Under-16 Online Chess Championship which concluded on Wednesday.

Pranesh and Delhi youngster Aaryan Varshney tied for the title with 9.5 points each and Pranesh finished first with better tie break score and Aaryan becomes first runner-up. Jubin Jimmy of Kerala completed the podium finish with 9 points.

Meanwhile in the Girls’ category, Bhagyashree Patil tied for the crown with Gujarat girl Ridhi Patel but Bhagyshree had superior Buchholz tie break score to clinch the title. Dhyana Patel of Gujarat finished as second runner up with 8.5 points
